Hi,
For the Macbook you do need to run in light mode as the current version does not play
well with Dark mode. You can get the latest Mac version from the BeerSmith.com page.
If you have BeerSmith 3 or higher I recommend installing the latest 3.2 update (or 3.1) on both ends
so you can take advantage of the backup to zip commands
Here's an article on all of the possible methods:

Assuming you have the latest BeerSmith 3.2 running from the BeerSmith.com web site you can:
- On the old machine go to File->Full Backup to Zip and create a zipped backup file of all your data
- Install 3.1 on the new machine and activate it. You can manage your activations and open up a new
slot (if needed) by logging into BeerSmithRecipes.com and going to the profile page. Every license for
BeerSmith 3.2 lets you activate at least two computers at once.
- Move the zip backup file you created from the old to new computer
- On the new computer go to File->Full Recover from Zip to restore your data and settings
Also depending on how many computers you are using you may need to free up an activation slot
for your new computer. You can do that by deactivating a computer here - all licenses have two
or more activation slots:
