Ever see a Metric recipe, but you want to use it in English, or a English recipe but you use Metric units?
Well, BeerSmith can help.
Lets pretend I use English units by default but want to enter a metric recipe from a book... Â (the process is the same for going the other way, but the units are reversed)
1. Set my units to Metric to enter the recipe -- use the "Options" command on the "Tools" menu and press the "Set Units to Metric" button on the Units tab.
2. Enter the recipe from the book in metric units.
3. Go back to the Options command on the Tools menu and set your units back to English by pressing the "Set Units to English" button on the Units tab.
View the recipe - it will now appear in Metric. Â If you want to adjust the volume or equipment settings - use the "Scale Recipe" command on the "Actions" menu to make it an even batch size (say 5 gallons).
Cheers!
Brad
