BILLY BREW
Grandmaster Brewer
Hey all,
Found this in a historical publication. Tweaked it a bit here and there.
I thought for sure I would get a stuck mash using the toast, but shockingly it actually had the opposite effect by coagulating around all the spooge and floating to the top.
Currently in the secondary, and tooling along just fine.
For this one I used Wheat bread.
10/14/2024; You might want to try this. It turned out very nicely and there was a side benefit that surprised me.
I thought with 3lbs of dried bread, I would get a stuck mash, seemed inevitable right. Well to my surprise, the bread ended up being like a clarifier. It encapsulated all the spooge and floated it to the top.
The taste is not too apparent, though I do pick up a touch of pepper. Otherwise it turned out clean and refreshing.
