Greetings Brad and Beersmith team and community,
I am a fan of the software which I have been using throughout my short-ish (6 years) home brewing career. The software is great when it is running!
I am on a Macbook Pro, OS Monterey 12.7.6. However, this problem with Beersmith has plagued me ever since I purchased the software.
I typically use the software as follows - I find a recipe in Zymergy magazine, or in a local HBS, and then create a new recipe, input the ingredients, and then input my measurements as I go along.
I haven't brewed a batch since July of last year (2024) and today I am preparing for my next batch tomorrow.
The crashing (BS3 software crashing, not to be confused with cold crashing!
) is happening now so frequently as to render the software unusable. The following things seem to trigger the crash:
Many thanks,
-Mark

- Navigating using the mouse pointer between Design, Starter, Mash, Session, Notes etc.
- Inputting fermentables, hops and yeast
- Navigating between My Recipes
- Clicking the Save icon
- I had to re-save after 4 times of it crashing before I was able to persist my recipe between crash sessions
Many thanks,
-Mark
