Is it possible to export the ingredients from a particular recipe to Excel via CSV?
GigaFemto, I've been looking for this for some time!!! Thank you! Here is an Excel workbook for importing an xml export from BeerSmith. There are three sheets: Fermentable, Hops and Misc. Open the file, select one of the top few cells, right click and select XML ->Import. Then choose the xml file with the recipe you want and the tables should all populate. From there you can do whatever you want. You can combine all 3 into one worksheet, but since you don't know how many entries will be in a Fermentables table or a Hops table you need to be careful to give each one plenty of room.
This forum does not allow me to attach a file with .xlsx extension, so I had to put it into a .zip file.
Add the ingredients from your recipe into the shopping cart. You can do this easily by highlighting the recipe and clicking on the 'add to cart' button in the icon ribbon. Go to the shopping cart and export that as a .csv file. You can then open that in excel and you will have all the ingredients on one tab.GigaFemto, I've been looking for this for some time!!! Thank you!
Could you help me with combining the data to one worksheet? Having trouble making that happen. much appreciated!
This helps so much! Thank you!Attached is a zip file that has a spreadsheet with all ingredients on the same sheet. Since you don't know how many malts or hops there will be you don't know how big the table will be, which is why I put them on separate sheets. If you want them on one sheet you need to allow plenty of room for each table.
