Equipment Profiles

One real challenge for the Partial Mash brewer is the fact that you may have a mix of all-grain and extract brewing equipment.  To make great beer, you need to be able to take into account your actual equipment.  BeerSmith has a database of equipment profiles that can be easily customized to match your exact setup.  The equipment settings are used throughout the program to match style, bitterness, adjust mash temperatures, and generate step-by-step brewing instructions.  You can use this equipment profile to convert all grain or extract recipes to partial mash brewing.

Match your Beer Style

BeerSmith lets you match the target beer style.  Just pick the target style from the beer style table, and BeerSmith automatically compares estimated gravity, color and bitterness for your recipe against the style guide.  Items are bolded if they do not match the style guideline.

This profile is constantly updated as you build your recipe

Easy Recipe Scaling

BeerSmith makes quick work of changing the size of any recipe.  Quickly go from 5 gallons to 10 gallons.  Adjust the grains to match your own brewhouse efficiency.  You can even specify the equipment profile if you want more precise recipe scaling to match your exact equipment setup.

Click on the Scale Recipe button to scale by size, efficiency or equipment!
