Alright, I know that I'm not the only one who has had this happen. I live in East Tennessee and the nearest homebrew store that has yeast is almost two hours away. I hate shipping yeast in the summer. I ruined an Octoberfest that way one time. The yeast got too hot and died. Back to the question.
I have a bottle of Wlp001 I bought about 6 months ago that has been in the refrigerator since. Is there any reason I couldn't use it, assuming that I make a starter or two to get the yeast back into "shape" (so to speak).
White labs says it should not be used after it's date BTW.
