Burners

D

Dannken

Hi to everyone, I `d like to know if is there any way to know how many BTUs has my burner, I ask this coz I always read for example Here are my two 10 000 BTU propane burners, and I dont know how to calculate it, I hope u can help me.

The only method I can think of is to take a set amount of water and then heat it with the burner.  Take the starting and ending temperature and you can calculate how many calories were needed to raise that amount of water by that amount.

This will give you a rough number, since obviously all of the losses are not accounted for.

Cheers!
Brad
