Calculating Actual Efficiency
« on: September 04, 2003, 02:16:04 PM »
Here's a hidden feature...

BeerSmith calculates the actual "Brewhouse Efficiency" of your brewing session based on the measured Original Gravity of the beer (for All Grain and Partial Mash recipes).

To see the "Actual Efficiency" for all of your recipes, perform the following steps:

 1. Select  the "My Recipes" view
 2. Choose "Customize Columns" on the "View" menu.
 3. Select and add the field called "Actual Efficiency" to your view.

That's it -- you will now see the total brewhouse "Actual Efficiency" calculated from your measured "Original Gravity" displayed as a column on your recipe views.

You can use this number to help adjust your predicted "Brewhouse efficiency" for your next batch!

Cheers!
Brad
