Just a few questions 1)With a conical fermenter, Do you dump the cold break? 2) When? Before or after yeast added? After staring at glass fermenters for years, I know it breaks down, yeast food? 3) Benefits of removal or not?

My plan was to oxygenate, add yeast and drop the cold break after 12 hours.

Don't spend too much time worrying about the cold break. It has little if any effect on beer clarity ...unless you suck it all up when packaging. I use a conical fermenter and the only time I use the dump is if I am harvesting the yeast. Otherwise I pitch my yeast, secure the lid and forget it until kegging day.
