Counterflow chiller storage
« on: March 11, 2020, 08:27:34 AM »
I recently bought a counterflow chiller and I was advised by one brewer that after each use, I should fill it with StarSan, cap it, and leave it like that until next use.  No one else I know is doing this, but since it's a new piece of equipment for me I thought I'd out it out there.  Any thoughts?

I have cam-lock quick disconnects on the CF wort lines. I also have a garden hose cam-lock attachment. At the end of the brew day I will attach the hose to the CF and flush it out. The next brew day I will run hot water through it and it's good to go.
