hi,

i wasnt planning on switching to a 3V system anytime soon so i deleted most of the mash profiles that are standard in beersmith.

now that im about to brew on a 3v system i want to have the correct mash profiles set up.

i just cant fine where to reinstall them.

any ideas?

thanks.

An equipment profile defines how your system works, but it's still pretty general. There's an equipment wizard that'll walk you through the parameters. The defaults are just templates that would need to be modified to your situation, anyway. BeerSmith is most accurate when you create your own profiles.

Your 3v system will need an Equipment Profile. Your Mash Profile is another thing all together. Both can and should be custom created to match your system and your mash methods.

Here are two video tutorials that were made by Marshall Schott of Brulosophy to help you set up both...

This tutorial gets a little deeper into the Equipment Profile settings which helps fine tune that profile even more. The more accurate you can get your profile the closer your estimated numbers will be to the actual results.
