Incognito hop extract use
« on: February 17, 2020, 06:28:02 AM »
Hi Guys.

I have just acquired some of this for use in the whirlpool. My question is how do I enter this into the software to take into account the exceedingly high AA% 47.36% (w/w HPLC). Is it sufficient to just enter as is or will the software blow a gasket and return ridiculous IBU levels. I've added it to the software as a "Flavour", which doesn't allow for AA%. Should I put it in the hop section even though it doesn't really fit?

There are already some hop extracts in the hops profiles or available via the 'add-ons' function and you can look at those to see how they are set up to enter in your specific brand/variety of extract.  If you want the program to count it towards your IBU calculation, then adding it as a 'misc' item will not accomplish this.
