Adding Fruit Puree (Vintner's) on my Wheat Beer Recipe
« on: October 04, 2018, 12:50:15 AM »
Hi Experts,

Seeking your expert advice. Using Beersmith v3.0

I have a base recipe for my Wheat Beer (45% Pilsner, 45% Wheat, 10% Crystal). So I am targeting a 5% abv. No problem with the initial recipe build.

Now the next part, I've added Vintner's Puree (1 can) as part of the fermentable ingredients. The recipe color changed, the Gravity changed as well. Should I now consider the existing fermentable details of the puree for my recipe build or I have to leave the original recipe and make the puree as not there?

Cheers,
mr.Hopman

I believe I was able to resolve the issue now. Started with a 5gal batch and 1 can Puree and changed it to Liters (from oz). Likely overlooked the units that's why it way off from what was expected.

Closing the thread now.
