Brewer
Hi,
Last Sunday I brewed my first Porter, which I must say is looking like it's going to be a good one. At the moment I'm gathering all the bits and pieces to build a Rims system. As Monty Python would say "Now for something completely different" I connected my pump to my mash tun (single infusion) and just circulated the wort with out the heat exchange. I allowed a higher strike temp to allow for the pump and tubing and insulated the whole thing to maintain temperature. It worked reasonably well. By the next time I brew I hope to have my rims up and running.
