I have my laptop all set up just like I want in the BeerSmith program.  Is there any way to sync all my data with my desktop machine so that everything is the same and won't screw up what I have on the laptop.  Just not sure what all can be synced. Any help will be appreciated.

As far as I can tell you have to manually transfer a recipe to the recipe cloud and then on the other device go to the cloudy and save it to local.

Only recipes can be moved to the cloud. You have local storage on all devices and a cloud storage shared between all. You have to copy recipe to the cloud folder to share between devices. If you add or tweak any local recipe on either device it does not change or add the cloud recipe, you will need to copy it again to the cloud folder. Also if you make changes to cloud recipes it does not change locals. The ingredients, equipment, mash, carbonation and fermentation profiles in a cloud recipe "can be save" to local so you wont have to redo those again. I would hate to see the program itself move to web based, but would like to see all settings and files be cloud based supported, even if there was a yearly storage charge.

It is possible to share a single storage folder between two computers with all operating systems. It takes a bit of computer expertise to configure the sharing, but any computer professional should be able to set it up in a few minutes.

Thanks to all for input on this topic.  I found that as long as BeerSmith is not running I can go into my laptop and get any file I want and copy into a memory stick and go over to the other computer and copy the file right into the Documents\Beersmith2 directory.  I just delete the file on the PC I am trying to update and then copy the file from the other PC right into the same place.  Works perfectly.  Just cannot have BeerSmith open on EITHER machine.  It is a piece of cake this way.  Just don't copy a directory only the contents you want into the memory stick!!  Much, much faster than trying to move things in and out of the cloud.
