I'm new to BeerSmith2 so bear with me.

When I go into BeerSmith2 and design a recipe it uses the current date.

So when I get around to actually making this recipe how do I change the dates to the brewing day?

Thanks all in advance.

i copy it to brew log using the copy to log function.  Then change the date and modify the recipe specific to that batch and add brew day notes as well.

When you design the recipe in BeerSmith, you can set the date on the design tab.  For the master copy of my recipes, I start by setting the date to 1/1/2001 so I can easily distinguish it from any copies.  Using what Jomebrew stated, I select a recipe and click 'copy to log' to move a copy of the recipe into the brew log folder.  From there, I can make any adjustments and set the brew date.
