High CPU load on Macbook when having recipes open

Hello,

I am experiencing high CPU load when opening any recipe in BeerSmith 2.3.7. BeerSmith CPU load then jumps from 1-3% to 30-35% instantly, causing the computer fan to start up, and stays at that level all the time. Working in BeerSmith and switching between recipes gets it up to 50% consistently. What could cause this?

The notebook is a Macbook Pro Retina 2,6GHz i7.

  I was not aware this was still occurring.  I will add this to my bug list to look at on the Mac.
