Adding Chestnuts to the Ingredients menu

Has anyone done this and know the parameters for adding chestnuts to the ingredients menu? The color I can do myself as I'll be roasting them but I dont know how they act in a brewing process.
 
If you are not using a huge amount I would probably count them as a "misc" ingredient.
