Some people have been reporting issues with tabbed windows not being refreshed properly as well as issues with the timer not playing alarms on OSX 10.11 (El Capitan).

I've assembled a beta version with fixes here (for OSX 10.9 or higher only):
  https://s3.amazonaws.com/BeerSmith2-2/BeerSmith2_2_14_64.dmg

I plan to publish this shortly once I've had a bit more time to do testing.  If you find issues please email me at beersmith at beersmith.com

Thanks,
Brad

Have tried this fix - but no go :(

Still getting that error after upgrading this morning!

I have same Problem. I already downloaded and run it but nothing happen.

That is odd as I have quite a few people running the program now.  Do you get an error or it won't install?

Brad

Morning - Just been having a few more cracks at upgrading again over the past few days...have been down for a while now!

PLanning to brew this weekend - so a little panic starting to set in!

I've just done an upgrade to El Capitan today and downloaded the beta upgrade to install atop to try that.

The error is:
ASSERT_E -
[/Users/Doc/Documents/Src/SLib/BData.cpp:3186 compiled Oct 13 2015]

I should note -I think I may have posted this in the wrong thread.....

Following upgrade I can't reload Beersmith -due to the forementioned critical error...

Usually that (BData.cpp) error is indicative of a data corruption error.  You can try a full reset of the data if you want which will probably correct it:

The "worst case" recovery process for a corrupt file in BeerSmith 2 is as follows:
  - Rename your "Documents/BeerSmith2" directory to something else like "OldBeerSmith" which saves your data
  - Make sure you have the latest version of BeerSmith 2 installed from the main download page
  - Restart BeerSmith2 - which will create a new BeerSmith 2 directory with the sample recipes in it
  - You will likely have to enter your registration key again
  - Once you have BeerSmith running again, use the Open command to open your old Recipe.bsmx file
that is now in your "OldBeerSmith" directory  and then copy/paste any recipes you need into
    your new "My Recipes" folder
  - You can do the same with Equipment.bsmx, Hops.bsmx, etc... if you have added items beyond
those that came with BeerSmith 2
  - If you can't open one of the files (Recipe.bsmx for example), you can also try opening the numbered
backups (Recipe1.bsmx, Recipe2.bsmx, etc...) - these contain older copies of the original.
  - Let me know if you have any problems - and please keep your "OldBeerSmith" directory around
(the one you renamed earlier) as it will have all of your data in it!

Cheers,
Brad

Has anything worked to resolved this?  I've been without any timer sound for over a year.  Tried the patch download but it wouldn't open

There is an "El Capitan" release on the download page that resolves this.  Also I have a new version (2.3) coming shortly which also has all of the fixes.
