Title: burst of gas
Post by: soymateofeo on March 11, 2017, 11:47:45 AM
So my buddy was making a mead and tossed in some goferm at a few months deep.  The batch started to sud and ... release co2 I guess. What the hell happened?

My first question is why was he pitching GoFerm that late? The sudsing you were seeing was the mead off gassing as the Co2 came out of solution due to the GoFerm. It's always a good choice to mix some of the must with the additions to avoid this.
